01 · The problem
What problem does it solve?
A JEE and NEET coaching centre has 640 students in 14 batches. Enquiries are noted on paper at the front desk, instalments are tracked in a spreadsheet, and test marks are typed into another one by the faculty.
Results reach parents a week later as a printed sheet. Nobody can easily say which topics a batch is weak in, and fee follow-ups are phone calls the counsellors hate making.
