What is a document Q&A chatbot?

A document Q&A chatbot answers questions from your own files — manuals, policies, contracts, SOPs — and shows the page each answer came from. It uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG): it finds the relevant passages first, then writes the answer only from them, and respects who may see which document.

What is a document Q&A chatbot?

A document Q&A chatbot answers questions from your own files — manuals, policies, contracts, SOPs — and shows the page each answer came from. It uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG): it finds the relevant passages first, then writes the answer only from them, and respects who may see which document.

What is RAG?

Retrieval-augmented generation: before answering, the system searches your documents for the passages that matter and gives only those to the language model, which then answers from them and cites the page.

Are our documents used to train public AI?

No. We use AI providers whose business APIs do not train on your data, and your documents are stored and indexed on infrastructure you choose.

Can it read scanned PDFs?

Yes, with OCR. Clear scans work well; very poor scans are flagged so the owner can upload a better copy.

How do we stop people seeing the wrong documents?

Access is checked on every question: people only get answers from documents their role or team is allowed to see.

What happens when a document changes?

The new version replaces the old one in the index — automatically, if the files sync from Google Drive or SharePoint.
